      <description>Inuktitut is the language of the &lt;a href=&quot;/words/Inuit&quot;&gt;Inuit&lt;/a&gt; people of the &lt;a href=&quot;/words/Arctic&quot;&gt;Arctic&lt;/a&gt;.  There are some groups in Alaska who call themselves &lt;a href=&quot;/words/Eskimo&quot;&gt;Eskimo&lt;/a&gt;, but for people in Canada, that is an uncomfortable &lt;a href=&quot;/words/exonym&quot;&gt;exonym&lt;/a&gt; and Inuit is the only current term.</description>
