Would you mind checking my capitals too? Please?
  • 5 days ago john said:
Hi pro, sorry for the delayed response. Profile links seem to be working now. Tomorrow I'll look into what happened with your decapitalization—it was an accident. We changed a bunch of the plumbing a few weeks ago, which went smoothly overall (nobody seemed to notice, the ideal response), but it caused that regression. And lastly, trying to figure out why the links are broken in multi-word tweets, will hopefully have a fix soon.

Thanks again for the input--I've been behind on correspondence, but I really appreciate it.

One suggestion for the future: OpenOffice.org has a "Writer" application, compatible with all operating systems. People can make nice bulleted and numbered lists there, with the huge advantage that no buggers can read or add anything unless you want.

You may well be right about moda, Pro. Many words have come into Slovene from Italian (or Venetian or Friulian). I am not sure when the word came into Slovene, but my guess would be in the pre-WWII period, when "fashion" meant Paris and only Paris. Could it be that Italian borrowed the word (or its use to mean "high fashion") from French?

Sionnach, you return that umbrage immediately to the marathon of phony umbrage taking! I'm not finished yet!

    Hi Progalus,

Thanks for the tip regarding my facebook link! I was unaware that it was broken.

I have never thought of Pro as an ingrate. Others I could mention, yes.

*Flounces out, taking the very last vestige of umbrage in the vicinity.*

On the other hand, we don't know for certain that Prolagus doesn't own a doing grate....

Pro, she wasn't telling you "you're doing great." She was telling you "your doing grate." So, she's SO wrong. :)

Pro, you crack me up. Next time I see "research" spelled incorrectly, I'll think of you. :-)

Do you think Bonnie was trying to be unpleasant? I thought she was telling me "you're doing great".

    Is this correct?

    one kiss (bacio) x
    many kisses (tanti baci) xxxxxx
    big kisses (bacioni) XXXXXX
kisses and hugs (baci e abbracci) xoxoxox

    What are some other kisses?

Or maybe a Wordie timer would do.

Good luck, Pro--and I meant what I said about the book. :-)

We must add voluntary Wordie rationing to Wordie PRO!

Don't worry, Prolagus, we'll be here for you when you take (very short) breaks. And don't worry about "keeping up," as if there were such a thing. :) Study, man! Kick some butt!

    Today, something happened.
I arrived home, opened Wordie, and the amount of words and conversations I should read to stay up to date was just too big, since I must study.
It was a revelation: I should really, really study harder. I've been spending too much time here, lately, and I can't go on like this.
I'll try to be a good boy, for a while, and connect less frequently.
    I miss you already...

I'm not sure if you were being sarcastic or sincere when you called one of my list names "adorable." "He was a verray, parfit gentil knyght" is a quote from Chaucer. I guess I just don't think of it as "adorable." :)

Hola Pro! Good luck on your GRE's.

I'm headed home to drink a brandy in memory of David Foster Wallace. Crying in the internet café is not really helping anyone.
