frindley
I like the way, by moving just one letter, my moniker becomes "friendly". I reside in pedant's corner, but I like company, which means it's often pedants' corner, and so to avoid confusion I just opt for pedants corner.

You can also find me here at Thomasina's Last Waltz with words, music and other enthusiasms.

I post daily shots of Sydney Harbour and the environs (mostly) at Shuttercal. (Except February, March and, I suspect, April of 2010 were busy months, so there's a hiatus.)

Hi frindley, you should be whitelisted. Actually, looks like you must be, since that Shuttercal link is working. Let me know if it's not letting you do something you'd like to.

I also miss the also-ons. They're on the to-do list, though I can't promise when we'll get to them.

I traded it with my lowercaseness, apparently. :-(

frindley has been burning the candle at both ends. Had to stay away from wordie conversations for a bit – the time zone difference was proving to be decidedly unhealthy.

Well hello, frindley. We've been unfrindley for too long. Good to see your name on screen again.

Hi frin! Lots of funding applications in the air at the moment hence the word outcomes is also one I've seen far too often recently.

Frindley is back, having neglected wordie for a bit. Embarrassed to say that it was the recent new facebook debacle which reminded me that I have even more fun over here.

My problem with new year resolutions is that number one on the list is always "go to bed before pumpkin hour" – and of course the nature of new year's eve is such that I break it instantly! I think I might opt for Epiphany Resolutions this year instead.

You too, go have fun far from your computer! Happy new year!

Hi frindley! Although sarra knocked off several already, there are still a few unsolved musical clues ripe for the plucking here:

Yes, frindley, that's the purpose indeed. Bilby, I do actually have a few lists. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I think c_b wants to take care of cross-referencing for later on when we stumble across these words in isolation. No apology needed. (Was always fond of the surrey with the fringe on top myself.)

No really good way? How about a list?

    Hi frindley, I just wanted to apologize to you and whomever else might be annoyed for the string of similar comments about horse-drawn conveyances. There's no really good way to link together a whole bunch of bizarre words without posting comments on each word page which unfortunately then hogs up the whole front page for a bit. Fortunately it passes quickly. {Ahem.}

If you like, you can create a theme open list and we do all the dirty job. I'll be happy to do it.

Hi frindley! I just wanted to let you know how geekily happy it made me to see that you'd favourited one of my lists -- thank you! It cheers me up to come here and look at it. Hee.

Hey, thanks for helping me with the "æ" so I can finally type my son's name the way it's meant to be: Dhæro!

I've been avoiding Wordie for a few months cuz when I joined, I became instantly addicted, and was finding myself on here 3, 4 hours a day. That might be how much time people with TV spend watching mindless crap so at least I was actively learning stuff not zoning out like most Americans, but my other responsibilities were suffering as a result. I laid off my favorite site until your message called me here again, but I should ease back in gradually, like an alcoholic sipping wine.

However, I'd like to know more about this, "pedant's corner" of which you speak.
