This a swedish word that in a direct translation would mean ”the bubble”. It is commonly used to describe a rather small group of social media geeks who lived and prospered on the microblog service Jaiku. The group was slowly torn apart by the decline of Jaiku after being acquired by Google. It was officially destroyed by @morpac one night when he declared that we should all jump to Bloggy (another microblog). Some went there, others went straight to Twitter, some disappeared (still MIA) -and things where never to be the same again.
