A new launch from Pluck called Blogburst has just forged an agreement with a group of newspapers that includes The Washington Post: The papers will accept submissions from bloggers and publish those they like on their Web sites.

They have invested in Pluck and its Blogburst aggregator service.

Anyway, I've been watching the Blogburst model (provide bloggers full feed rss content for free to Blogburst who charge publishers a fee in return for a permalink at bottom of 2nd page) with interest, because (minus the rear end work) I think (a fairer model) will work really well in Australia.

Isn't it funny how the Web 1.5 RSS Readers didn't do anything in the 'blog network' space for a couple of years, but now in a bid (which I quite empathise with) to monetise their index and increase ad page impressions, we now have Rojo's Feedshare, and Pluck's Blogburst.
