Unfair

Unfair is 'harsh, unjust, or unreasonable' by definition in the Act. This is not to say that employer's cannot terminate an employee at any time ... it provides provision that the employer must give the terminating employee fair notice of termination, and in absence of notice, financial entitlements to the value of said notice.
