  • astroanimation Animation using shadows, light effects, and other predictable occurrences of astronomical events, such as solar and lunar eclipses, sunsets, or even weather patterns. Stages upon which astroanimations are viewed can be as small as the wall of a residence or as large as walls of a canyon. Shadows and lights are animated primarily by movement of astronomical objects such as the sun and moon, but, may also be generated by wind and temperature changes. Most astroanimations are viewed using time-lapse photography or during specific astronomical events, such as sun sets or eclipses.
