1. n. A large genus of tropical and subtropical American oscine passerine birds, of the family Mniotiltidæ and subfamily Setophaginæ; a group of pretty fly-catching warblers related to the common American redstart. Several of the Mexican species reach the lower Rio Grande, but most are more southerly. B. rufifrons is a characteristic example.
