- n. An apparatus for molding bricks. Some brick-machines use wet clay from a pug-mill, others dry clay. In the former the clay is discharged from the pug-mill in a solid stream, which is cut by the brick-machine into brick-shaped pieces; in the latter the dry clay is delivered to molds placed on a horizontal revolving table, while pistons press the clay into them, and then eject the molded brick.
