1. A suborder of Coniferæ, of which the genus Cupressus is the type, with opposite or ternate, mostly scale-like, and adnate leaves. It includes also the genera Juniperus, Chamæcyparis, Thuya, Libocedrus, Taxodium, and others of the old world.
