  • Situated on the inner wall, or intestinal surface or visceral side, of the cœloma or body-cavity; splanchnopleural: used chiefly of bodies derived from a four-layered germ, and hence with reference to the splanchnopleural or visceral division of the mesoderm: opposed to exocœlar.
