I have just had an e-mail exchange with a friend wherein I mentioned my impending birthdayness, he said he/they would have to remember to get me something*, I said I didn't mean to be hinty, and he said he'd prefer that I hint than that he forget.
But then he remembered two things: First, Loaf had said, in a hinty kind of way, things like, “All these pilgrims heading for the tower—what do they care for the city?” and “People live here in O all their lives and never visit the tower.”
It's all very vague and hinty, but if you read into it you can see that there's some talk of a physical television instead of just a headless box.
Just to mention at this point, just in case anyone was expecting a toothless hinty recap.
You could also pull some kind of sweet Lloyd Dobler move and send her something like an extremely cute, hinty mix.
