1. n. A pale-yellow compound, , found in Coto bark. It crystallizes in large prisms or long thin needles, and melts at 98° C. Also called benzoylphloroglucinol dimethyl ether, benzocotoin, or preferably trihydroxydiphenylketone dimethyl ether.
