- noun A colorless compound, C6H(CH: CHCH3)O2:CH2(OCH3)2, prepared by the action of alcoholic potassium hydroxid on apiol. It crystallizes in large leaves or quadratic plates, melts at 55–56° C., and boils at 303–304° C.
