1. n. The trade-name of acetophenone-paraphenetidine citrate, (C₂H₅OC₆H₄N: C(CH₃)C₆H₅)₃-C₆H₈O₇. It is prepared by the action of acetophen-one on paraphenetidine, forms a crystalline powder, and is used in medicine as a febrifuge. Also called acetophenone-phenetidide.
