• noun A family of nemerteans, of the order Metanemertini, consisting of deep-sea forms with short, broad bodies, the hinder end being flattened into a fin, the mouth and proboscis openings separate, and eyes absent. It contains the genera Nectonemertes and Hyalonemertes.
