  • noun A machine for putting articles into packages or bundles; specifically, in baking, a machine for sorting and arranging crackers for packing in cartons or barrels. It consists essentially of a hopper in which the freshly baked crackers are placed, and suitable delivery-mechanism for selecting the crackers and setting them on edge upon conveyers which deliver them to the packers.
