  • In petrography, extremely calcic: said of salic minerals, or of the rocks in which they preponderate, when salic CaO is more than seven times the salic K2O and Na2O, and of femic minerals, or of the rocks in which they preponderate, when femic CaO is more than seven times the MgO and FeO.
