1. In petrography, extremely calcic: said of salic minerals, or of the rocks in which they preponderate, when salic CaO is more than seven times the salic K₂O and Na₂O, and of femic minerals, or of the rocks in which they preponderate, when femic CaO is more than seven times the MgO and FeO.
