- n. A genus of plant-bugs, typical of the family Phytocoridæ, having the beak extending to the middle of the abdomen, and the sides of the head angular. There are about 20 species, 7 of which inhabit North America. P. tripustulatus is blackish, spotted with orange, and found on nettles.
