  • noun A family of clavicorn beetles, having the dorsal segments of the abdomen partly membranous, the ventral segments free, the mentum moderate or small, the palpi approximate at their bases, the posterior coxæ more or less conical and prominent, and the eyes finely granulated, sometimes absent.
