- n. A stage mom or stage dad is a parent or guardian of a child actor/performer who aggressively manages their career, often in what is considered a detrimental and over-bearing manner. The phrase has expanded to almost any performance related endeavor but is mostly linked to those doing traditional theater stage performances in front of an audience.
