  • In ornithology, in Sundevall's system: A cohort of Anisodactyli, of an order Volucres, consisting of the bee-eaters (Meropidæ), the motmots (Momotidæ), the kingfishers (Alcedinidæ), and the hornbills (Bucerotidæ), thus approximately corresponding to the Syndactyli .
  • A superfamily group of scutelliplantar Passeres, represented by the todies and manikins—one of two divisions of this author's Exaspideæ, the other being Lysodactylæ.
