- A family of microscopic organisms, named from the genus Vibrio, and including some minute nematoid worms which were confounded with certain microbes. See
Vibrio , 3. Also calledVibrionia and Vibrionina, and referred to the Infusoria, as by Ehrenberg and by Dujardin.
