  • A family of microscopic organisms, named from the genus Vibrio, and including some minute nematoid worms which were confounded with certain microbes. See Vibrio, 3. Also called Vibrionia and Vibrionina, and referred to the Infusoria, as by Ehrenberg and by Dujardin.
