  • I’m proposing benone as a new English verb to fill a gap in everyday language. We often need a quick, casual way to say something has suddenly disappeared, stopped existing, or gone missing without explanation. “Benone” is short, easy to say, and works well in both literal and slang contexts.

    benone (verb)

to disappear suddenly; to vanish; to stop existing or get lost beyond recovery.

    Example:

“My keys benoned somewhere between the kitchen and the car.”

“The file benoned after the update.”

You can add also as slang:

benone (slang) — to ghost someone; to drop out of contact completely.

“He just benoned after the first date.”
