It'd be a hard line for Ehrman to maintain anyway, considering there's no shortage of biblical scholars equal to or greater than Ehrman in accomplishment and status who have not only retained their faith, but have had that faith (so they say, at least) enhanced by what they've discovered in their studies and research.
