Hebrew šəmînî 'ăṣeret, eighth (day) of assembly : šəmînî, eighth (from šəmōne, eight; see ṯmny in Semitic roots) + 'ăṣeret, assembly (from 'āṣar, to retain; see ʿṣr in Semitic roots).
