  • In heraldry: Gorged; collared: applied to animals with collars, etc., about their necks. Touching by their corners, as lozenges or fusils on a shield. Placed side by side, as two shields. Surrounded by the collar of an order, as the shield of a knight of that order. Also spelled acollé.
