But it's the way it's written. It's obvious (to me) that the molecule theory as stated is, if not entirely metaphorical, a front for a more lubricious story. It's the intimate detail with which the bikes are described, every crossbar and spoke, the way they sidle furtively along walls, what they get up to with their riders in the remote country lanes.

Mainly they get caught with crumbs on the floor in their neighborhood - I think most of the sex part is in your febrile imagination :-)
