- noun Bleaching-liquid; as usually understood, the solution obtained by the action of water on bleaching-powder or chlorid of lime, but also applied to solutions of the alkaline hypochlorites, bleaching-liquor being now made directly by the electrolysis of an aqueous solution of common salt.
