  • in Vancouver, we have things called "bus loops" : this isn't referring to a circular route, it's referring to the concrete bus platform and bus roundabout in a city lot where several buses connect.

    We have Blanca Loop, Kootenay Loop, Stanley Park Loop, UBC Loop, Dunbar Loop, etc.. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blanca_Loop and refer to the term "bus loop" for those places where multiple buses pull in, wait for connecting passengers, and leave on schedule.

  • Hang on... I thought they had bus loops everywhere? How else do buses turn around?

  • I think the rest of the world uses terms like 'bus stand' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bus_stand and 'bus terminus' , 'bus depot' , 'bus station'.  Other cities use 'bus loop' to refer to a circular route.
