  • A small natural order of thalamifloral plants, consisting of fragrant and aromatic trees belonging to the genera Canella and Cinnamodendron of tropical America, and Cinnamosma of Madagascar, and comprising only five known species. The affinities of the order are obscure, but it is perhaps related to the Bixaceœ.
