  • noun A genus of lamellicorn beetles, of the family Scarabæidœ, containing dung-beetles resembling those of the genus Copris in having narrow epipleuræ, hornless head and prothorax, and slender curved hind tibiæ. C. lævis is a common United States species, black, and half an inch long.
