  • A family of clavicorn Coleoptera or beetles, with the tarsi 5-jointed, the first ventral segment not elongated, the hind coxæ, flat and not sulcate, the prosternum not prolonged behind, and the tarsi with membranous lobes. The larvæ are found under bark, and are mostly predatory, feeding on other insects.
