Highly recommended for Wordies who don't mind explicit definitions and a decidely male point of view. The second edition (1967) contains the 278 page text of the first edition, which combines standard dictionary style entries with a reversicon feature, and an 109 page addendum with an avalanche of madeupical words. The author, J. E. Schmidt, M.D., notes in the first edition, "I have, in my files, some 990 words and phrases designating...the sex organs of a woman....Can semantic justice be done to the 876 terms referring with various ingenious allusions to sexual intercourse by translating them into the classic but jejune coitus? There are also 714 words referring in one way or another to the female breasts, and 837 words and phrases symbolizing the monolithic phallus. Almost every one of these has its own raison d'être, its own inalienable intimacy, which should not be sterilized by diffidence."
