  • In botany, a family of angiocarpous lichens having a foliaceous thallus. Also Endocarpei.
  • In zoology, a division of nematophorous Cælenterata, containing those whose genitalia develop from the endoderm: opposed to Ectocarpeæ. The division contains the Scyphomedusæ, and also the Actinozoa proper or Anthozoa.
