  • A family of sternoxine beetles, allied to the click-beetles or Elateridæ (in which it is sometimes merged), but having the antennæ inserted at the internal border of the eyes and the epistoma trapezoidal. The larvæ resemble those of buprestids. Nearly 100 genera are known.
