  • A family of campanularian hydroids having the hydrothecæ reduced to shallow, saucer-shaped, pedunculate appendages, the hydranths with conical hypostomes and the gonophores hedrioblastic. It contains the genera Halecium, Diplocyathus, and Ophioides.
