• noun A shrubby Mexican plant, Nesæa, salicifolia, belonging to the natural order Lythrarieæ, having lanceolate, often ternate leaves, and solitary yellow flowers. It is said to be sudorific, diuretic, and antisyphilitic. See Nesæa. Also written hanchinal.
