• In ornithology, in Garrod's and Forbes's arrangements, a division of mesomyodian passeres, embracing those forms which have the sciatic artery well developed, as is usual in birds: opposed to Heteromeri. The Homœomeri are divided into the Tracheophonœ and the Haploöphonœ. Also spelled Homeomeri.
