  • A family of tænioglossate gastropods, having the operculigerous lobe without filaments and the shell small and acuminate. It includes the following genera, found in brackish or fresh water: Hydrobia, Bithynia, Lithoglyphus, Pomatiopsis, Bithynella, and Assiminea.
