  • You don't want to have this condition! An unusual form of wet macular degeneration. Only treatment: injection, directly into the eyeball, of new drug (Lucentis) MONTHLY! And it only stabilizes the problem--retards its progress, while actual mitigation is as yet undetermined.

    Edit: injections don't work on this anomalous condition. Laser treatment is the last resort; also, so far, seems to have no discernible effect. It is hoped it will have a stimulative effect on underlying retinal cells prompting them to absorb some of the exudate.
