  • Definition is incorrect. This term refers to a portable food/drink cart.

    Derivation is more or less correct. The five 'legs' are the two wheels of the cart, the post it rests on when stationary, plus the two legs of the vendor.

  • Ah, interesting then. The more usual meaning of kaki lima where I'm from is the sidewalk, but I do know that it refers to the cart as well. Thanks for the clarification!
