  • Originally, a suborder, now reduced to a tribe of plants of the order Myrtaceæ, based on the genus Leptospermum, chiefly characterized by the loculicidally dehiscent capsule. It embraces 33 genera, among which are Eucalyptus, Melaleuca, and Metrosideros.
