  • A love spoon is an ornately carved spoon traditionally made from a single piece of wood by young men, especially in Wales, as a love token for their sweethearts, to show their affection and intentions. They come in many different sizes and the ornamentation differs greatly and includes many symbolic forms. I have one with a chain of four links, a die, a cage with three balls inside, a heart and a horseshoe.

  • You're welcome! I don't think traditional love spoons are that elaborate. The ones I've actually seen (in Wales) are very simple too.
