Finally, I suspect that when this meterorologist says "scientists were predicting warmer winters" he's not talking about scientists' predictions for this winter in the Southern hemisphere, but the general misunderstanding that "global warming means it will get hotter everywhere" and that he's doing the exact thing that lemon is warning of, in the opposite direction i.e. we had a cold winter, and global warming's supposed to mean things get hotter, so climate change can't be happening.
