Known as mKB, "meters from the Kelly bushing" is a measurement used in the oil and gas industry to indicate the length of a bored well from the large bushing at the top of the shaft. Because drilling is usually not precisely vertical, this measurement can be greater than the actual depth of the well ("true vertical depth or mTVD).
