  • cf. poet John Bunyan (1628-1688). From Mount Ebal is the title of one of his poems. Mount Ebal is one of two hills mentioned in the poem, the other being Gerizzim. At the base of these hills was the ancient city Schechem. Modern day Nablus occupies the valley. cf. biblical references to these hills.
