I don't think so rt, but when I was searching for a link for this page, I did discover that apparently you also get to celebrate National Chocolate Cupcake Day (18 October) and National Lemon Cupcake Day (15 December), although their authenticity seems questionable.
There are just not enough confectionary related holidays in the world.

I think it should be something like August 22. You have to let them get good and stale before it's okay to throw them without feeling guilty about not eating them instead.

We could wing some stale cookies instead, but they might be dangerous--National Cookie Day was in January.
OR we could wait until National Cookie Month in October and fling fresh ones. But by then the cupcakes will be very, very stale....
