  • noun A genus of small fossil corals typical of the family Palæocyclidæ, with flattened, discoid, simple coralla and many stout radial septa: found in the Silurian beds of Northern Europe and North America. Allied genera are Hadrophyllum, Microcyclus, etc., from Devonian beds.
