  • A family of macrurous decapod crustaceans, having a long slender rostrum armed with teeth or spines, prominent eyes, the first pair of trunk-legs without and the second with chelæ, the pleopods biramous and the tail-fan well developed. It includes several genera, among them being Pandalus, Pandalopsis, and Nothocaris.
